Power Platform courses

Every class will include all materials—including presenter deck, demo scripts, step-by-step hands-on lab, dataset, complete solutions, and images. Additional content is available for trainers to help ensure a successful presentation. Note that a paid product tenant and subscription are required for select courses.

App in a Day

This app development course lets you experience the possibilities of building great business apps without writing code—in a single day. The course provides free technical training for both IT and business decision makers.

At the end of the day, attendees will understand how to:

  • Digitize business processes.
  • Work more efficiently and enable digital transformation in the workplace.
  • Easily connect all applications and share data with Dataverse.
  • Create custom business applications without writing code.
  • Build sophisticated business processes and complex data relationships within applications.
  • Learn how to bring apps to life by connecting them to a variety of data sources.
  • Securely share apps across the organization.

Content is offered in three languages—English, German, and Japanese.

The workshop assets are split into two parts:

  1. Instructor content includes presentation decks, demo scripts, and train-the-trainer material.

  2. Attendee content – lab exercised are in the Create a machine ordering app with Power Apps – Online Workshop Learning Path located on Microsoft Learn Training. This is to the English content. Automation in a Day

This one-day course covers Power Automate and robotic process automation content.

Attendees learn how to:

  • Setup the tenant and environment.
  • Generate insights.
  • Automate their process.
  • Create their first automated desktop flow.
  • Understand the difference of desktop and cloud flow and use both.
  • Explore the usage of Power Automate with Outlook.
  • Automate web scenarios using the desktop flow.
  • Add an AI model for invoice processing.

This course is an instructor-led lab.

Power Virtual Agents in a Day

This course provides hands-on experience designing and developing a chatbot in less than a day. Attendees learn how to:

  • Review the prerequisites and set up process of the bot.
  • Build their first chatbot.
  • Experiment with topic suggestions.
  • Improve chatbots with entities and variables.
  • Integrate bots with other Microsoft Power Platform products.
  • Understand the authentication process.
  • Share bot with the group and interact using Microsoft Teams.

The workshop assets are split into two parts:

  1. Instructor content includes presentation deck with instructor notes, trainer demo guide, envisioning exercise, labs, and set-up instructions.

Dataverse for Teams in a Day

This one-day course covers working with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Power Platform products. Attendees explore different ways to collaborate with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate, and Microsoft Teams.

The day concludes with exploring sample apps and a collaboration exercise using Microsoft Teams with all class participants.

Administrator in a Day Microsoft Power Platform

Prerequisite—App in a Day course, basic cloud applications administration background, or equivalent work experience with Microsoft Power Platform.

This one-day course covers how to be a successful administrator of the Microsoft Power Platform tenant. During this lab, attendees learn how to:

  • Secure their tenant.
  • Create and optimize reports and telemetry to support data-driven decision making.
  • Create automation for administration tasks.
  • Deploy an app.

Low-Code for Developer in a Day Power Platform

Prerequisite—App in a Day course, Software Development background, or equivalent work experience with Microsoft Power Platform. In order to complete the lab, dedicated tenant and user permissions for developers will be required.

This one-day course covers how to be a successful developer for Microsoft Power Platform.

During this lab, attendees learn:

  • Power Platform Background
  • Extending the User Experience
  • Custom Connector
  • Power Platform API’s in Azure
  • Application Lifecycle Management
  • Low Code or Code first?

PCF - Power Apps Code Components in a Day

This course is targeted for pro developers. It assumes you have knowledge of developing using JavaScript and HTML.

Prerequisite—App in a Day course, Software Development background, or equivalent work experience with Microsoft Power Platform.

Please ensure you have a windows machine with the setup detailed in the course documentation.

This one-day course and labs covers how to build and deploy code components for Power Apps. The second part of this course focuses on using React & Fluent UI in code components.

Content is offered in English.

The workshop assets are split into two parts:

  • Instructor content including setup instructions for your own environment.

  • Attendee content includes the lab manuals, set up instructions must be provided by instructor.
